How to Run a Qualitative Thematic Analysis
Upload qualitative text data, run topic modeling, interpret themes, and share results with stakeholders.
Step 1: Prepare Your Qualitative Data
- Ensure your dataset contains open-ended responses, interview transcripts, or other qualitative text data.
Step 2: Access the Qualitative Thematic Analysis Page
- Click Qualitative analysis in the sidebar menu.
- Look for Upload, click Browse files, and upload your data.
Step 3: Set Up Your Analysis
- Click Process Inputs.
- Click Run Topic Modeling.
Step 4: Initial Data Familiarization
- Review a sample of the responses to understand the content and context.
- Use built-in tools to highlight frequent words, phrases, or sentiment indicators.
Step 5: Interpret and Summarize Findings
- Use Averisys AI's results and report tools to review theme summaries and representative quotes provided by Averisys.
Step 6: Share Results
- Click Publish this page.
- Share the results with the stakeholders via the published page.
- Click Invite Users in the sidebar menu to invite the stakeholders to share the dashboard.
If something does not work as described
Screens are updated as the platform changes, so a button may sit in a slightly different place than the wording above suggests. When that happens, the AI assistant inside the platform is the fastest way forward: it can see the page being worked on and answer in context, at any hour. Ask it what a message means, why a file was rejected, or which step comes next.
Most problems in this part of the workflow come from the data rather than the platform. Column headers that repeat, numbers stored as text, blank rows at the bottom of a file, and inconsistent category labels are the usual causes. Checking those four things resolves the majority of failed uploads and unexpected results before any further troubleshooting is needed.
